Bolton Temple History
The Mandir:
First Est. 1973 - Rebuilt in 1993 - Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple Bolton (Under Shree Nar-Narayan Dev Temple Bhuj Kutch - India) is the 1st orthodox purpose built Swaminarayan Mandir to be built both in the UK, and Europe.
The Murtis:
The Murtis in Swaminarayan temples are relative to under which Gadi they come in. First Shree Sahajanand Swami - Our Ishtadev, The God to whom the Temple is dedicated to. Second Nar Narayan Dev - Is the representation of our Gadi (Nar Narayan Dev Gadi, Ahmedabad). Third Radha Krishna - Shree Sahajanad Swami's favourite form. Fourth Hanumanji - Bhagwan Swaminarayan's Kuldev (household deity), Ideal devotee of God, Kashta Bhanjan (remover of problems/obstacles). Fifth Ganpatiji - Vighna Vinayak (God of good fortune), first invited deity at all religious ceremonies in the Sanatan Dharma.
